The series even included a nod to the original characters with an episode that featured the cast in traditional costume, including Jughead’s famous crown- like hat.

While it’s not always romance and laughs in the Riverdale plot, it’s now clear that the cast often has a good time filming the episodes. In the season 1 blooper reel, which you can watch above, the actors spend a lot of time making funny faces at the camera, intentionally flubbing lines, and playfully harassing each other over mistakes. The clip features all the core cast, including K. J. Apa (Archie), Lili Reinhart (Betty), Camila Mendes (Veronica), Cole Sprouse (Jughead), and Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom). While the bloopers kick off with just your standard fare of sputtering through difficult dialogue and laughing at the wrong time in a scene, the clip progresses into funnier stuff.
